Dr. Bicket’s research focuses on prescription opioid use and non-opioid treatments for acute and chronic pain, including clinical trials, health services, and comparative effectiveness research to improve the quality and safety of pain treatment in diverse healthcare settings. He has provided scientific guidance on healthcare, opioid, and pain policy to government agencies and and organizations at the federal, regional, and state levels, including the National Academy of Medicine and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He also co-directs the Michigan Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network (M-OPEN).
