Pai is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Deputy Director of the Pharmacokinetics Core Laboratory at the University of Michigan. His research focus is optimal drug dose selection in special populations such as obesity. He earned his PharmD from the University of Texas at Austin and Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed a pharmacy practice residency at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, New York, and an infectious diseases/pharmacokinetics fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has held tenured faculty positions at University of New Mexico and Albany College of Pharmacy. Pai has over 100 publications and has received multiple awards for his work.
