Dr. Calhoun Burns received her B.S. in Chemistry in 1992 from Eastern Michigan University and her D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1997. She completed her internship at the University of Maryland Medical System, Baltimore, in 1998 and completed her residency at Martin Luther King/Charles R. Drew University in 2004, both in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2008, Dr. Calhoun completed a PhD in the Department of Oral Biology, School of Dentistry, at the University of California, Los Angeles.
