Research in Dr.Xi’s laboratory focuses on biofilms/microbiome, water quality, and human health in three major interrelated areas: (A) molecular mechanisms of biofilm development, (B) characterization of biofilms/microbiome in industrial and clinical settings, and (C) development/evaluation of novel approaches for biofilm control.
