Before I transferred to the University of Michigan, I was a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics (BMI) at the University of Wisconsin (UW). I served as the Biostatistics Shared Resource faculty director for the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC); Associate director for the UW Center for Health Disparities Research; and Biostatistics Director for two large UW NCI Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPOREs) programs in Head and Neck cancer and in prostate cancer. I have extensive expertise in biostatistical methods including comparative effectiveness research (CER), causal inference, clinical trial methods, risk prediction, and treatment selection.
