V.G. Vinod Vydiswaran, PhD, is an assistant professor of learning health sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School and assistant professor of information, School of Information. His areas of interest include natural language processing, text and data mining, health information extraction, and information trustworthiness. His current research focus is on mining and analyzing health information from multiple sources, including electronic health records, community health forums, scientific literature, and social and information networks, with a special interest in analyzing textual health information to infer credibility of medical assertions.
