Dr Chey received his BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and medical degree & training in internal medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and has remained on the faculty at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he is currently the H. Marvin Pollard Professor of Gastroenterology and Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Nutrition Sciences.
